As the name implies, this was first stocked only with Brown Trout, although 3 years later Rainbows were added to compliment the fly fishing. It’s a large water with a signature dead tree, around which there is some great sport to be had, especially between it and the far bank. It supplies the needs of a working dairy farm and is bolstered in nutrients from the surrounding fields. As a competition water it has given many anglers great reward. Largest fish to date is a 56cm Rainbow Hen.
